Family Action: Hope Project

Family Action is a charity committed to building stronger families by delivering innovative and effective services. We seek to empower people and communities to address their issues and challenges through practical and emotional support. We were founded in 1869 but are just as relevant today as we continue to fulfil our core aim of meeting the changing needs of diverse and unique families with compassion and respect.

Our Therapeutic Services in Bradford Family Action delivers a range of innovative services.
We offer therapeutic support for children, young people and their families who:
• have been sexually abused
• have experienced bereavement
• have witnessed or experienced domestic abuse.

Our Building Bridges service provides counselling for parents and carers.
Therapeutic Work with Children and Young People
We offer individual therapeutic recovery services for children and young people and offer a space where they can explore feelings, tell their stories and build resilience through talking, play and creative therapy techniques. We also work with parents/carers to support their child’s emotional recovery.
The Building Bridges Service works with parents and carers whose emotional issues have impacted on their relationship with their children or other family members.
